FAQs

A few things you may want to know before getting started.

What insurances are accepted?2026-09-16T20:19:25+00:00

I currently accept most major insurance plans (these are usually offered through employers and the Marketplace). At this time I do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.

What is the cancellation policy?2026-09-10T18:41:42+00:00

You will be charged $50 for no shows. You will be charged $50 for any cancelation with less than 48 hours notice. I am a one woman scheduling show so I need at least 48 hours notice so I can potentially attempt to help another client. The policy is enforced this I can tell you for sure.

How long are sessions?2026-09-14T22:20:43+00:00

Sessions are scheduled for 55 minutes. Sometimes they are shorter but will most likely never be longer (a girl has to eat, stretch and go to the bathroom ya know). If you are running late for your
appointment that will be deducted from the 55 minutes. If you are more than 20 minutes late that will be considered a no show and the cancelation fee will apply.

Who do you work with?2026-09-10T18:41:08+00:00

I work with adults ages 19 and older. Most often I see my clients individually (by themselves). If the client agrees family members and significant others are always welcome to join sessions. I find getting insight from those who know you best can alter the course of therapy in the best of ways. I treat anxiety, depression, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, life transitions and caregiver stress (caring for ourselves is stressful enough let alone caring for others). I also have experience in several other areas not listed here. When in doubt reach out!

Do you offer evening appointments?2026-09-10T17:00:26+00:00

Presently the latest appointments begin at 5:30pm or 6:00pm. I am not one of those advantageous therapists that offer 8:00pm appointments although they are out there but you will not find them
in this office.

Do you have weekend appointments?2026-09-10T16:58:56+00:00

That is a hard “No”.

Am I stuck with you forever?2026-09-22T21:41:43+00:00

Lets hope not. The length of time you continue therapy is up to you (and me to a certain extent but mostly you). Some folks are seen every week, some once a month. Some continue therapy intermittently for years while others resolve their issues in a few months. As a side note if we meet a few times and you decide I am note the right therapist for you please let me know and will try to the best of my ability to present you with other options. I don’t think this will happen but if it does don’t worry you won’t hurt my feelings. I can take it.
